In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we have partnered with the Joe Was Just Joe Foundation (JWJJ) and the City of La Crosse Police Department to distribute “You Matter” wristbands to all high school students in La Crosse County to promote mental health awareness and support.

This initiative reflects the Coalition’s ongoing work to bring partners together across sectors to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and expand access to education and resources. The 2026 “You Matter” wristbands focus on three key areas: raising awareness, encouraging connection, and promoting help-seeking.

Together, these efforts reinforce a consistent message to young people across the community: You matter.

If you EVER need someone to talk to about how you are feeling, the 988 Lifeline is available 24/7. Call, text, or chat 988.

We are incredibly grateful to receive a Mayo Clinic Hometown Grant in support of our Be Here campaign.

This generous investment helps us promote mental wellbeing by encouraging connection, presence, and device-free moments, simple actions that make a powerful difference in our community.

During National Mental Wellness Month, we are reminded that caring for our mental health is just as important as caring for our physical health. Thank you, Mayo Clinic, for believing in this work and helping us create spaces where people can connect and feel supported.
