Congratulations to our incredible Community Health Worker team for receiving the “Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork” Award at the 2026 Wisconsin Community Health Worker Gathering!

This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion, and hard work each of these humans bring to our community every day. Drawing from their own life experiences, unique skills, and personal passions, they provide support, encouragement, and empowerment to those who need it most.

We are proud of all they do and grateful for the positive impact they make in the lives of so many. Not pictured here is Cullen, who was unable to make it due to being out working his magic in the community today.

Congratulations to our Community Health Worker and Mobile Medicine Coordinator Michael Fitzpatrick for winning the Advocate Award at the 2026 Wisconsin Community Health Worker Gathering! Here are a few words from Michael regarding his work at St. Clare:

"One of the most meaningful aspects of our work is truly meeting people where they are - whether that be on the street, in a shelter, at a community center in a rural town, or even at their place of work - to provide essential healthcare services and reduce barriers that too often prevent people from receiving care. Real change happens when a community decides that no one should be left behind. It happens when people from different organizations, backgrounds, and professions come together around a common purpose. None of us can do this work alone, and every success we celebrate is built on the dedication, compassion, and commitment of countless individuals working together."

Please join us in congratulating one of our incredible Community Health Workers, Aleisha Kuntu, for winning three awards at the 2026 Wisconsin Community Health Worker Gathering!

Aleisha won the Resiliency Award, the Emerging Leader Award, and the Legacy Award. Here are a few words from Aleisha regarding her work:

"I'm Aleisha - a Community Health Worker out of the La Crosse area, and I show up every day for vulnerable and underserved folks because I am the community I fight for. I connect people to healthcare, resources, and support, but my work goes way beyond a job title. I'm also a business owner, an author, a facilitator, and a recovery coach. Every role I hold is rooted in lived experience, not theory. Everything I've overcome fuels the work I do now. I'm here to make sure people feel seen. supported, and empowered. I'm here to show that healing is possible, that change is real, and that your story doesn't end where your struggle begins. I built a path for myself, and now I'm helping build one for the community I call home."

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The La Crosse Club announced on Wednesday that it will donate $6,200 to St. Clare Health Mission with proceeds from its 2026 Kentucky Derby Party.
