How do you move a fire team from staggered column to skirmishers left?

The Navy SeaBees Combat Manual gives us guidance and it is very much based on Marine Corps doctrine.

For youth from 5th to 11th grade, particularly those with an interest in a possible future military career, monthly drill with Battleship Wisconsin Division, US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, based in La Crosse WI, is a great way to explore that interest!

At the same time, cadets have fun, gain valuable experience, overcome challenging training objectives, and achieve that bond with shipmates that occurs in a military training environment.

Cadets typically stay enrolled until the end of high school, but are not required to. Cadets gain advanced enlistment and potential scholarship benefits, but are not obligated to the military.

Fun fact: 💥🇺🇲🗽💰Did you know that cadets who make at least Cadet Seaman / E-3 in the USNSCC as a youth, are eligible to enlist in the Navy, Army, or Coast Guard AS AN E-3?? Yep! Those branches recognize the valuable training we provide! Did you know that pay for E-3 vs. E-1 over the course of a year is approximately $5000 more?? It is.

The Marines will offer an E-2 for our E-3. Guard or Reserves pay difference is the same proportionately, but overall less, of course.

How about that? Have fun, explore what the Navy / military is like, and store up future benefits?

Contact us to today to find out more on how it all works. Comment below or PM.

Congratulations, PFC Gary Mobley US Army (recently SN Mobley USNSCC) for your basic training success and now your successful completion of Army Artillery AIT!

PFC Mobley's success represents, first and foremost, his own perseverance and resilience, but, secondly, represents a success of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Battleship Wisconsin Division, in helping to prepare him for his military career.

PFC Mobley took advantage of the E-3 to E-3 conversion offered by successfully completing the prerequisite service in the USNSCC prior to Army, Navy, or Coast Guard accession.

PFC Mobley will be serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

Hooyah, PFC Mobley! BZ from all of your shipmates at BBWISDIV! (or do we say "Hooah" to you now? ;)

Thank you to all who follow our page, like our posts, and share!

We will be looking for a few good replacement cadets before the beginning of the new year. We do now have a couple spots open. Now is a great time for motivated youth to step up, get out of their comfort zones, and learn what the Navy and the military are like one weekend drill a month.

Do you know a parent or grandparent who has a go-getter in 5th to 11th grade who would be a good fit? Please share our information with them! Who knows where the next US Naval Sea Cadet may go with his or her life?

After drilling with the local unit for at least three months, and usually not more than a year, Sea Cadets attend a 9 day Recruit Training, typically during the summer. This is like an age appropriate boot camp. Cadets work hard here and are trained in all of the basics. Though meant to be challenging, cadets emerge stronger physically and mentally than when they went in.

Before the drills, the training, and the big moments, there’s the foundation. ⚓🇺🇸

The Recruit Handbook is one of the first resources Sea Cadets receive when they join the program - packed with the knowledge, customs, expectations, and traditions that help them find their footing and start thinking like a cadet.

And it doesn’t get left behind after Recruit Training. It’s a resource cadets can return to as they learn more, take on more responsibility, and grow through the program.

A great career opportunity for those cadets with an interest in the legal services.

The next generation of legal warriors: Powering Navy readiness ⚖️⚓

In early September, Lt. Cmdr. Ismael Salam proudly represented the Navy JAG Corps at Baylor Law’s Government Career Fair in Waco, Tex., where he connected with top-tier legal talent who are ready to step up and serve.

Future litigators were especially energized by the Collegiate Officer Candidate Program, which provides active-duty pay and benefits while students finish law school.

Beyond highlighting career-defining experience across many legal practice areas, his message was clear: a Navy judge advocate isn't just an attorney — they are a principled leader, a strategic naval warrior, and a vital force multiplier ensuring unwavering warfighting capabilities and total mission readiness around the globe.

September drill: transporting the "wounded".

As part of our field operations drill weekend, cadets learn how the wounded are evacuated from front line areas to field hospitals.

Teamwork, courage, strength, and discipline are all vitally important parts of executing this training successfully.

Motivated youth from 5th to 11th grade: What are you doing this weekend??

Consider enrolling as a cadet in La Crosse Wisconsin-based Battleship Wisconsin Division, US Naval Sea Cadet Corps! We are one of approximately 350 local units Nationwide.
