✌️ Spring Memory Camp | Week 7 🌼

It was groooovy, baby! ☮️💜

From a decked-out Volkswagen camper to tie-dye creations, hippie names, and plenty of laughter, camp was bursting with color, creativity, and fun this week.

A huge thank you to Jillian from All Glazed Up for helping everyone create one-of-a-kind tie-dye bags, and to everyone who helped bring the Age of Aquarius theme to life.

The fun continued with groovy headbands, hippie names, and a little brain exercise featuring classic jingles, songs, and sayings that had everyone joining in.

And as always, The Nature Place team wrapped us up with fascinating discoveries from the natural world—including a California King snake shed, adolescent eagles, and other amazing sights from around the region.

🚢 Spring Memory Camp | Week 6

Riverboats, root beer floats, roulette wheels, and a human slot machine… camp was FULL of fun this week. 🎰💜

John and Nancy Solberg brought the Mississippi River era to life while The Nature Place team kept everyone on their toes with river trivia and fun facts along the way.

Honestly, the afternoon felt like a little pregame party for the upcoming EndAlz Fest with lots and lots of laughter, cheering, friendly casino fun, and smiles all around — especially thanks to the St. Joseph Lion’s Club for bringing roulette to camp!

So lucky for all these people who continue to make camp such a special place each week. 💜

Big congratulations to Kelsey Flock for being recognized as the Alzheimer’s Association Professional of the Year at today’s state conference. 💜

For years, Kelsey has been a steady force in the Coulee Region — helping individuals and families navigate the dementia journey with compassion, creativity, and genuine care. Through her work as a Dementia Care Specialist with the ADRC of La Crosse County, she has helped create comfort, connection, and support for so many individuals and families in our community.

The work can be hard, emotional, and often unseen — but today, we celebrate someone who has poured her heart into it for many years. Congratulations, Kelsey. This recognition is so well deserved. 💜

Spring Memory Camp | Week 5 🌷

We were moving and grooving all afternoon at camp this week! Nikki from theLa Crosse Dance Center and Vivian, Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest, brought incredible energy as campers danced, moved, laughed, and enjoyed music together.

We also met a California King Snake up close with The Nature Place team — such a fun and memorable experience! 🐍

The room was full of smiles, encouragement, movement, and joy. 💜

🎨 SPARK! On The GO! + ArtPop 💜

Color, creativity, laughter, and hands-on fun filled the room during our visit to ArtPop in La Crosse. From creating side-by-side to exploring together, it was an afternoon full of connection, creativity, and joy.
