Update 2/11/26: We are sad to say we are canceling the Lions Candlelight Hike for this Saturday, 2/14.
The trail is a mix of soggy ground and icy patches - not a great (or safe) combination for a hike in the dark. If we get snow in March, we may try to reschedule.
THANK YOU to all our volunteers and all our hikers who make this such a fun event. Happy Valentines Day. Thanks for your understanding.

Yeah! Lions helping the Library is a fun mix of sharing the love of reading, Lions cultural and global framework, and our commitment to vision projects. We appreciate all our Library does for our community.

Thank you to our La Crescent Lions Club for donating $400 to the library's book fund! Their partnership during our summer reading program helped provide meals on our Family Fun Night and they chose to give that back to our collection! Here are a few of the new Playaways, non-fiction, and picture books we've added which feature global stories! Watch for new Vox books and Large Print books yet to come! Thank you, Lions, for supporting your local library!

Two of our longest serving Lions members - Charlie Hinders and Paul Ulland represented the Lions at the recent Council Meeting approving the Lions 60th Anniversary Proclamation. (Lions Pres Heidi Kerska and Lion Ryan Ryan Dale Niemeier also attended. Council Member Teresa O'Donnell is also a Lion.)

60 Years ago today a group of dedicated La Crescent residents formed the La Crescent Lions Club!! 60 years of living out our motto "We Serve" with local projects and global causes. Congratulations to our 58 members - be sure to share your Lions Pride.

Thanks to the La Crescent Lions who helped volunteer for the USA Cycling Gravel National Championships Race on Sept. 20th. 770 registered for the ride. It was so much fun to be part of this awesome event. Fellow Lions, send Teresa or Chris your extra pictures.

Lion Teresa was part of the Lions District 5M1 Team for NAMIWalks SE MN last Saturday. It was a breezy, beautiful day at Cascade Lake Park in Rochester. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Learn more: https://namisemn.org/
