Tonight’s the night! 🐝🎭

Auditions for our 24 Hour Musical Fundraiser production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee are happening tonight from 6:00–9:00 PM at the La Crescent High School Fine Arts Center!

Please prepare a short song of your choice to sing. Audition forms and monologues will be ready for you when you arrive at the theatre.

We can’t wait to see everyone tonight and put together this amazing show while helping keep theatre accessible and affordable for everyone! 💛

We’re off to see the Wizard! 🌈✨

Auditions for The Wizard of Oz are almost here, and we can’t wait to see everyone at the La Crescent Fine Arts Center!

🎭 Audition Dates
Monday, May 18th OR Tuesday, May 19th

👧 Youth Ages 8–15: 6:00–7:30 PM
🧑 Adults Ages 16+: 7:30–9:00 PM

Please prepare a short song (around 30 seconds). An accompanist will be available if needed. Auditionees will also read a short scene from the script and learn a short dance combination, so wear comfortable clothing and shoes!

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is coming, and auditions are right around the corner!

🗓 May 13th

📍 La Crescent-Hokah High School Fine Arts Center

Auditioners must be 18 years or older to participate.

Come show us what you’ve got! Please prepare a song of your choice (about 1–1.5 minutes long). Monologues will be provided at auditions.

This hilarious and heartwarming musical follows a group of quirky students competing in a spelling bee, each with their own unique personality and story. It’s full of comedy, improv moments, and great music—you won’t want to miss being part of it!

Appleseed Community Theatre is taking on a 24 Hour Musical… and this year’s show is The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! 🎭⏰

So what is a 24 hour musical? It’s exactly what it sounds like—our cast is given the entire show just 24 hours before curtain! That means learning music, choreography, lines, and blocking all in ONE day, then performing it live the very next night. It’s fast-paced, a little chaotic, and a whole lot of fun!
