☀️ Summer bounty is in full swing at the La Conner Sunrise Food Bank! 🧺🌽
There is nothing quite like peak summer produce to nourish our community. From crisp green onions and sweet pears to fresh zucchini, bell peppers, tomatoes, and peas, our shelves are overflowing with vibrant, healthy food for our neighbors!

🌽 A Special Monday Highlight:
A huge thank you to Dean Swanson from Swanson Family Farm for making a special appearance this past Monday! He dropped off incredible bunches of fresh sweet corn and crisp cucumbers that brought so many smiles to our volunteers and community members.

🍞 Ongoing Gratitude:
We also want to give a massive, continuous shoutout to Rachael at Water Tank Bakery. Week in and week out, Rachael delivers dozens of freshly baked, delicious loaves of artisanal bread to ensure our families always have a wholesome staple to take home.

It takes a village, and we are beyond grateful for our generous local farmers, bakers, and volunteers who make it all possible! ❤️

🍉 SUMMER HAS OFFICIALLY ENTERED THE BUILDING! 🍉

Let’s be honest… is it really summer until you’ve enjoyed a big, juicy slice of watermelon? We don’t think so! ☀️😎 Just look at these beauties we gave out last Monday!

We love summer at La Conner Sunrise Food Bank for so many reasons—the sunshine, the fresh produce from our local growers, AND the wonderful extra hands that show up to help while school is out! ☀️🥦

A huge thank you to Conner, Sarah, Rachel, Leilani, and John (not pictured) for pitching in this past Monday. Your hard work and energy put a big extra spring in our step! 👏✨

🍓🥒 It’s the absolute best time of year at the La Conner Sunrise Food Bank!
This is the season where our volunteers wait with bated breath every week just to see what incredible, farm-fresh yumminess comes rolling through the door from our local growers. We seriously can't wait to see what surprises arrive this week!

Just look at a sampling of the gorgeous bounties from last week:
🍅 Beautiful, ripe tomatoes and summer squash/zucchinis brought in by Red Shed Barn!
🍓 And in the afternoon, Valley Grown Produce dropped off a copious amount of stunning, sweet raspberries!

The generosity of our local farms means our neighbors get access to the freshest, most vibrant produce around. We are so grateful! ❤️

If you didn't catch our tractor-powered float, don't worry—we brought the photos to you! The La Conner Sunrise Food Bank crew had an absolute blast celebrating with everyone at the parade.
🚜 From our John Deere-pulling crew to our wonderful volunteers holding the banner, we felt the love at every turn. We want to say a HUGE thank you to this incredible community. 📸 Okay, so we aren't winning any photography awards for these pics... but what they lack in supermodel lighting, they more than make up for in pure, local, fantastic goodness! 🌱✨

We are absolutely thrilled to share this beautiful haul with our amazing community. Along with these crisp greens and root veggies, we shared apples, pears, potatoes, onions, and so much more this past week. 🍏🥔🧅

Our local farmers and donors keep knocking it out of the park, and we are already excited to see what fresh goodness comes through our doors next week!

In observance of Memorial Day, the La Conner Sunrise Food Bank will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th. We will be OPEN instead on Tuesday, May 26th and hope you will join us between 2:30-5:00pm.

Fresh from the farm and straight to your table! 🥬✨

Spring in the Valley just keeps getting better. We are sending a huge shout-out to Red Shed Barn for these vibrant heads of lettuce. They grew this crisp crop specifically for the La Conner Sunrise Food Bank so our customers could enjoy the very best local produce.

We had a blast distributing these homegrown beauties this past Monday! There’s nothing like that "just-picked" crunch to brighten up a meal.

It feels like Spring has arrived in the Skagit Valley, and with it comes the first "bunches of beauties" from our local soil! 🌷✨

We want to extend a huge thank you to Red Shed Barn for these amazing radishes. They grew this vibrant crop specifically for the La Conner Sunrise Food Bank to ensure our customers have access to the freshest local produce. We were thrilled to distribute these crisp, homegrown treats this past Monday!

There is nothing quite like the taste of spring in the Valley. Thank you, Red Shed Barn, for your incredible generosity and for growing such high-quality nutrition for our neighbors.
