Over the past week, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 189 had the honor of partnering with our local elementary school for a special Poppy Coloring Contest, along with poppy handouts leading up to the post 189 Memorial Day Ceremony at the cemetery. ❤️🤍💙

We are proud to recognize the talented students who participated and helped honor the meaning of the poppy and the sacrifices of our veterans.

We were incredibly impressed by the creativity, effort, and patriotism shown in all of the entries. Thank you to every student who participated, as well as the families and teachers who supported this meaningful program.

Each winner received a special prize basket from the Auxiliary, and we are honored to help continue sharing the importance of remembrance and service with the next generation.

Opening Day at Holly Park in La Center, Washington ⚾️

There’s nothing quite like small-town baseball, community spirit, and a ballfield full of families cheering on our youth.

You’ll often find us in the stands, at the stadiums, and along the sidelines—supporting our kids, veterans, and community while representing the American Legion. You’ll recognize us by our ballcaps.
