** UPDATE!! Chad has tested positive for FIV 😒 but... Humane Society of Marshall County has agreed to accept him in to their adoption program ❀️ He has recieved the ultimate spa pkg at the vet today πŸ˜‰ neutered, rabies, distemper, FIV/Felv test, f***l, ears cleaned out AND his mats shaved off!! Hes going to feel like a million bucks!! We will get him to marshall county first thing tomorrow and he will be available for adoption soon! We will most definitely share his post as soon as he becomes available!!

Also, we saw the post about the missing cat in Mayfield. This is definitely NOT the same cat. Chad has been a part of his colony since july of last year **

WE NEED YOUR HELP... We have a special case in today for TNR, Chad...

Chad was very obviously abandoned. He is matted, has a horrible case of ear mites, and has probably never seen a vet. Until today

Chad is maybe 4-5yrs old. Hes calm, submissive, and absolutely huge. He is at least 15-20lbs of giant sweetness. He purrs just from making eye contact with you. He was making biscuits in the carrier while I was talking to him.

Chad should not be released outside, but we have nowhere to go with him. His long coat knots up & he may need to go to the groomer to have a lion cut, well see what the dr says about his coat. If we release him, hes going to continue getting matted causing him unnecessary pain.

Hes at the vet today getting neutered & his vaccines. We need a safe place for him to land. If you love the snuggly giants, hes your man! This cat is HUGE. And so loving. He will love you forever if you give him a chance! Video in comments of how loving this big boy is!

Guess what!!! Haven has been ADOPTED!!

Haven originally came to us back in November 2024 as 1 of over 30+ cats rescued from an abusive household in kevil ky. She has stuck it out with us and our friends at Tortitude Cat Cafe and has finally found her person!! We are over the moon happy for this beautiful tuxedo girl, and stay tuned to WPSD-TV news tonight to hear more about her journey!!

Despite having a rough time in life, Haven has remained a friendly, happy cat and has found her perfect home! No more survival mode for her, only full food bowls and lots of love in her future! πŸ’•

Check her out on WPSD tonight at 5, 6, and 10!

90 days... our sentence and the sentence of everyone who helped keep those cats alive was longer than 90 days... im glad its finally over, but i wish things would've worked out differently. At least we no longer have to worry about harley, haven, and bella any longer. They are finally safe and we never have to worry about them again

2 beauties in for TNR today. Unfortunately both girls were pregnant. During the spring season, it is very rare to trap an outdoor female who isnt pregnant. Both pregnancies were terminated, and these girls are no longer going to live the lives of breeding machines.

They were each spayed, ear tipped, given a rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, and a dose of revolution applied to kill off all the buggies πŸͺ² lauren also sent them home with a 6 month supply of pet Armour so the homeowners can continue flea prevention. THANK YOU LAUREN!!

Today's vet bill was $343. Donations are the only way we are able to help those in need. We are so grateful to each and every one of you who supports what we do for the cats in Kentucky ❀️

1 beautiful girl in for tnr today. She has kittens at home that were recently weaned & guess who was already pregnant again 😒 the life of an outdoor cat is not an easy one.

Its breeding after breeding. It never stops. Thankfully we were able to terminate this pregnancy and give her a full retirement from being a breeding machine.

Many do not agree with the decision to spay abort, which is fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and weve lost followers due to our stance on it. But kittens have the highest euthanasia rate in shelter environments. There are simply too many.

Giving birth outdoors poses so many risks. The majority of kittens born outdoors do not survive to adulthood.

Until we can get a handle on this cat overpopulation crisis, every cat we can save from this hellish life, we will. And today we saved her.

I would like to address a great question I received on this page and see what you think about the issue too! πŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Spay aborting full term kittens versus euthanizing kittens in a shelter? πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ

My thoughts: There is a difference between preventing suffering before being born and allowing kittens to be born into an outdoor world filled with danger, disease, starvation, predators, weather, and the constant struggle to survive. There is a difference between preventing more lives from entering an already overwhelmed system and watching existing cats and kittens lose resources, foster space, medical care, or homes because there are simply too many in need.

One procedure happens while the mother is already safely under anesthesia during her spay. The other means euthanizing living, breathing cats or kittens later because there are not enough homes, rescues, adopters, or resources to save them all.

Both involve loss. Both are tragic.

No one celebrates either outcome. Both carry heartbreak, and neither comes without grief. Sometimes the hardest choices are made not because people do not care, but because they care deeply about the cats already here struggling every day for survival, safety, and a chance at a better life.

I would love to hear your perspective!

Holy cow, its been 3 years already since Dr Baker at Metropolis Veterinary Clinic was able to finally close mr neck wound up!! It was definitely a wild ride trying to heal our boy. 3yrs later he is doing fantastic. He has become such a mommas boy, he is my baby. A big ole baby πŸ˜†

Ive never had a cat as obsessed with me as neck wound is. He acts like a dog, and has turned out to be the best cat in the world. I love him so much, hes my best friend 🧑 weve never posted him for adoption because honestly, i think he would escape & find his way back to me. No matter where he was, he would find his momma. He chose me
