Kutztown University’s new tuition-free special education certification program removes barriers and empowers more educators to support students who need it most. Through the ASPIRE initiative, certified teachers and recent grads can earn their PK–12 special education add-on certification in just 15 months.

The school announced the launch of an accelerated, tuition-free certification pathway designed to prepare more highly qualified educators, faster.

Innovation, creativity, and collaboration were on full display at the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology’s Spring Software Engineering Capstone Projects Demo Day!

Dr. Lisa Frye ’90, M’93 welcomed special guests Jim Ludlow of the KU Council of Trustees, Fred Hafer ’86, President of Omnitech Automation, Emily Massaro, Vice President of Marketing at Liquid Marketing, and John Loeser, Technology Manager at Liquid Marketing, for an exciting showcase of student achievement and innovation.

After two semesters of hard work, KU students presented an incredible range of projects — from video games and mobile/web applications to a nursing support tool, a medical education game, a program analysis tool, and many more creative solutions designed to make a real-world impact.

Congratulations to our talented students for turning big ideas into impressive results! 👏
