Friend - Pet Food Pantry

10/06/2026

Last Saturday we spent the day at Pet Fest at New Bethel Church in Kempton and it was a purr-fect day to celebrate our furry friends! 🐾

It was such a nice day to get out, talk to people, meet some dogs, and share what Friend, Inc. Community Services and the Pet Food Pantry are all about.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make the event happen - the organizers, volunteers, vendors, and everyone who came out to enjoy the day. It takes a lot of people to pull something like this together!

They also collected human and pet food for Friend, Inc. Check out the pet donations below! 🐶🐱

We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for both people and pets. That’s what it’s all about. ❤️

Thank you, New Bethel Church, for a great day!

🐾 This post is waaaaay overdue! 🐾

A huge THANK YOU to Amanda Sufrinko for your donation to our Pet Food Pantry! ❤️

We got a little caught up in the excitement (and chaos 😂) of moving into our new building, and somehow this thank-you got delayed. But better late than never!

And speaking of our new home… check out our new Pet Food Pantry room below! 🐶🐱 It’s such a paw-some feeling to have a dedicated space to help keep pets fed and with the families who love them.

Amanda is a best friend to Friend, Inc. Her continued support, generous donations, and genuine love of animals mean so much to us - and to the pets and families we serve.

Amanda, thank you for always showing up for the animals in our community. We appreciate you more than you know!

🍂 The temperatures may be falling, but our numbers continue to rise.

In September, the Pet Food Pantry helped 280 Friend, Inc. Community Services families provide food for nearly 800 beloved pets, including:
🐱 503 cats
🐶 289 dogs
🐰 3 bunnies
🦎 3 geckos

Every piece of kibble helps supplement a family’s pet food supply and as the need continues to grow, every donation makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our Pet Food Pantry through donations, volunteering, and spreading the word. Together, we’re helping keep pets fed, healthy, and in the loving homes they belong in. ❤️

Every bag. Every can. Every piece of kibble. Every pet matters. 🐾

🐾 August Pet Food Pantry Numbers 🐾

As we say goodbye to the dog days of summer, we’re looking back on another month of showing up for Friend, Inc. Community Services families and their pets.

In August, the Friend, Inc. Pet Food Pantry helped 252 families, providing food for:

🐱 486 cats
🐶 267 dogs
🦎 3 geckos
🐰 8 bunnies

That’s 764 pets getting the food they need to stay healthy, happy, and home with the people who love them.

We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing volunteers, donors, food partners, and everyone who continues to support the Pet Food Pantry. It truly takes a community to make this happen and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful one.

Thank you for helping us keep pets in homes and end pet hunger. ❤️

Here’s to welcoming September and the start of a new season in our new building! 🍂

A HUGE thank you to one of our best friends and supporters of the Friend, Inc. Pet Food Pantry - The Perk Up Truck! ❤️🐾

They recently gave us a very generous donation of $871!

The Perk Up Truck collects donations and then shares them with organizations right here in our community. We are so grateful that they continue to think of the Pet Food Pantry and the Friend, Inc. Community Services families and pets we serve.

This is what community is all about. People helping people and pets, supporting local organizations, and making a difference together.

If you're not familiar with the Perk Up Truck, please give them a follow and see all the good they are doing in our community.
Link in the comments! ☕️🐾

Thank you, Perk Up Truck, for always thinking of us. We appreciate you more than you know!
