Kutztown Thriving We are a sub-committee of Kutztown Community Partnership that aims to sustain a healthy community through positive solutions and holistic endeavors.

Kutztown Community Partnership serves as a liaison to build community, to forge positive relationships, and to foster cultural and economic collaboration in the historic college town of Kutztown. Kutztown Thriving aims to support KCP's mission with aggressive health-based initiatives that will offer positive solutions for the people, businesses and physical environment of the community. listic approach, to ensure all elements of the community are considered before action, Kutztown Thriving plans to manage and execute a variety of projects throughout Kutztown and it's surrounding area that will improve the community's overall health and livelihood.

Electronics Recycling Day will be held next Saturday, May 9, from 9 to 11 am.

Borough of Kutztown residents are encouraged to recycle old, unwanted, broken and outdated electronics and appliances. Visit https://www.kutztownboro.org to download the PDF of acceptable items.

Please note that there are fees for recycling certain items.

Next Saturday, April 11, along with the Rotary Club, we’ll be cleaning up the garden at the Welcome to Kutztown sign on Constitution Blvd starting at 8:30 am. We would love for you to join us!

Registration is now open for the statewide Pennsylvania Invasive Replace-ive Program.

Residents can participate by removing an invasive tree or shrub from your property or with permission from a property owner (e.g., park, library, school), taking a photo of the removed plant(s), and attending an event to receive a replacement tree or shrub, available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

For one day only, get paid DOUBLE for your old batteries!

On April 25, you’ll receive DOUBLE the standard reimbursement for your used lead batteries at our Power2Recycle drive-thru event.

Car, truck, marine, lawn & garden. If it’s a lead battery (golf-car size or smaller), bring it in for us to recycle and get paid double for your trouble.

The process is simple and rewarding:

-Drive-thru — stay in your car
-No appointment needed
-Rain or shine
-Family-friendly with gifts for kids
