The things we do!

Being a volunteer at the West End Food Pantry is a little bit of everything… lifting boxes, chasing carts, sorting food, making people smile, solving random problems, laughing until your stomach hurts, and somehow surviving on coffee, teamwork, and controlled chaos. 😂❤️

It’s crazy. It’s fun. It’s exhausting. It’s rewarding.

One minute you’re carrying potatoes, the next you’re directing traffic, packing diapers, unloading a truck, or giving someone hope when they need it most. No two days are ever the same — and honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Huge thank you to the volunteers who continue stepping up for our community. You are the heart behind every bag of food and every smile handed out. Want to join our crazy crew? Come volunteer with us… we promise you’ll leave tired, smiling, and probably covered in cardboard dust. 😉

Some seasons in life are heavier than others. Right now, many families are facing impossible choices between groceries, rent, medicine, and keeping the lights on. At the food pantry, we see the struggle every week — but we also see incredible strength, kindness, and hope.

No one should feel ashamed to ask for help. Hard times can happen to anyone. Together, as a community, we continue to stand shoulder to shoulder, offering food, compassion, and a reminder that no one fights alone. ❤️

If you need help, we are here. If you can help, we welcome you. One act of kindness can change someone’s entire day… and sometimes their entire life.

We are here for you!

🥚 A Quick Note About Eggs 🥚

To our clients who recently received eggs from us — we wanted to share a quick update!

We’ve been receiving eggs in large flats, and while they are fresh and within date, we transfer them into cartons so we can easily get them into your hands.

The cartons we use are collected over time, and some may have older dates printed on them — but please know, that date reflects the carton, not the eggs inside.

We apologize for any confusion and want to reassure you that the eggs you received are good and safe to enjoy. 💛

As always, thank you for trusting us — we’re here to help!

March Update:

💛 Making a Difference Together 💛

In March, we were able to provide food to 679 local families in need — and that impact reaches far and wide.

That includes:
🍼 34 babies needing diapers and special food
🧒 263 kiddos
🧑‍🎓 148 teens
🧑 802 adults
👵 630 seniors

Every number represents a neighbor, a family, a story — and because of your support, they didn’t have to face hard times alone.

We are committed to continuing our mission of bringing hope and light to those experiencing difficult times, but we can’t do it without you.

🙏 Please consider donating your time or resources to help us keep this mission going strong.

Together, we are making a real difference. 💛

I’m planning a special little date with my 3-year-old grandson. We’re going to go shopping together to put together an Easter meal bag for a family in need. We will definitely include a little Easter candy!

After, we’ll have some craft time and make a card or small project to include in the bag, making it special! I think this is such a wonderful way to teach children about kindness, thinking of others, and the joy of giving.

Hopefully our small act will help make Easter a little brighter for a family in our community.

Please consider doing the same with your children or grandchildren—together we can make sure every local family in need feels remembered this Easter. 💛🐣

DEADLINE TO RECEIVE BAGS IS APRIL 3rd.

Making an Easter meal bag as a family is such a beautiful way to teach your kiddos about giving from the heart. It opens the door to conversations about kindness, gratitude, and caring for neighbors in need. When you or your family creates a bag, you’re doing more than providing food — you’re helping another family feel seen, remembered, and valued. Many of these bags will go the senior citizens who can feel really lonely around the holidays. This is also a great way to spread cheer.

We simply ask that you include the basic staples listed on the flyer, and from there, make it your own. Add handwritten messages, cheerful cards, and special treats. Let’s pass our love this Easter season in a bag created by you — spreading hope, joy, and kindness one family at a time!

Deadline for bags is Friday April 3rd. All bags will be give April 4th. The West End Food Pantry is located at 516 Kunkletown Road, Kunkletown PA 18058. Email [email protected] to schedule a specific drop off time.

Please share this post as 350 bags is quite a huge goal and we need ALL of our community to help make this possible.
