💙🏀 Our 3rd–5th grade members at the Meridian Club are building teamwork and confidence through a 10-week Triple Play program! Through fun, interactive activities, members are strengthening friendships, practicing communication, and learning to encourage and support one another.

This program supports our 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 priority outcome, helping Club Kids develop skills that last both on and off the court! 💙

🎨✨ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯! ✨🎨

Our 3rd–5th grade members at the Meridian Club got hands-on in the art room with a fun paper mâché project! 🖌️📄 Through this creative activity, members explored their artistic sides, practiced patience, strengthened problem-solving skills, and brought their ideas to life.

Projects like these encourage 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 by giving Club members opportunities to learn new skills, express themselves, and build confidence in their abilities. We love seeing our Club Kids’ creativity shine! 💙

🎃👻 Pumpkin Carving Fun at the Moseley Teen Center! 👻🎃

Our Moseley Teen Center got into the Halloween spirit during a recent full day at the Club with some good old-fashioned pumpkin carving! 🧡 Thanks to a generous pumpkin donation from FarWest Landscape & Garden Center, our teens and some fifth-grade members rolled up their sleeves and got to work scooping, carving, and creating their own spooky masterpieces! 🎨🎃

There were plenty of giggles, slimy hands, and Halloween memories shared along the way! And the fun didn't stop with carving. Our members sorted through the pumpkin pulp to collect the seeds, which they baked into a tasty fall snack. 😋🍂

Activities like these give our Club kids opportunities to express their creativity, practice teamwork, and build positive friendships. Bringing different age groups together also encourages collaboration and helps create the welcoming, connected Club environment we love! 💙

A big thank-you to Farwest Garden Center for helping make this fall fun possible! 🎃🙌

✨ A New Chapter at Desert Sage! ✨

After enjoying The Lightning Thief last year, our Desert Sage Club members are ready for a new reading adventure! 📖💙

Our members shared their book recommendations, cast their votes, and decided this year’s Book Club selection will be The Witches by Roald Dahl! 🧙‍♀️🎃

Book Club has been a wonderful way for our Club kids to discover the joy of reading together, share their thoughts and experiences each week, and build a love for books. We especially love that this year’s selection was chosen by the members themselves! 🙌

A HUGE thank-you to Book it Forward Idaho for donating books and helping make these reading adventures possible! Your generosity is helping our Club kids turn the page toward brighter futures. 💙📚

🚒🔥 Fire Safety Week at Peregrine! 🔥🚒

This week, our Peregrine Club members learned important lessons about fire safety and how to stay safe during an emergency!

🎨 Members got creative by making their own firefighter hats while reviewing fire safety procedures and Club emergency expectations. We talked about the importance of staying calm, listening to staff, and following directions to help keep everyone safe.

🚒 We also welcomed a special community helper—a local firefighter! She shared valuable fire safety tips, played a fun game with our members, and handed out fire safety goodie bags. The kids learned about smoke alarms and how families can create a fire escape route and emergency plan at home. 🏠🧯

A huge thank-you to our local firefighter for taking the time to teach our Club kids these important life skills! 💙 We are grateful for community helpers who help our members learn, grow, and stay safe.

🦴🔬 STEM Gets a Little Gross at Desert Sage! 🤢🧪

Our Desert Sage Club members got hands-on with their first activity from the Grossology STEM Kits during one of our full days, and things got a little messy! 😂

Members learned about scavengers and the important role they play in our ecosystem. Then, they put their knowledge to the test by working in groups as “reverse scavengers,” racing to see who could cover their rat skeleton in playdough first! 🐀👐

This hands-on activity brought biology to life in a fun, memorable way while encouraging teamwork, critical thinking, and curiosity about the world around us.

Who says learning science can't be a little gross? Our Club kids are proving that some of the best learning happens when you get your hands dirty! 💙

🍎🍂 **Fall Fun at the Club!** 🍂🍎

Our Club kids at our Kuna Club teamed up with Ms. Michelle to decorate our fall poster, and each member put their own creative spin on an apple! ❤️🎨

This fun activity was about more than just decorating. It gave our kids a chance to express their creativity, celebrate their individuality, and work together as a team to create something special. 🍎✨

We love seeing our Club kids’ unique personalities shine while learning that when we work together, we can create something amazing! 💙

🪰🍚 STEM Fun: Fly in the Soup!

Our Club members had a blast with this week’s hands-on STEM activity, Fly in the Soup!

Members raced between buckets filled with rice and hidden fake bugs, collecting as many as they could. But there was a twist! 🧐 Each bug was worth a different number of points, so members had to think strategically, move quickly, and decide which bugs were worth the most!

The friendly competition buzzed with excitement as members cheered on their friends, tested their problem-solving skills, and worked toward the highest score. It was a silly, hands-on way to practice focus, coordination, strategic thinking, and teamwork! 🙌

We love seeing our Club kids learn, explore, and have fun through STEM! Who knew a little fly in the soup could bring so much excitement? 😂🪰

We’re incredibly grateful to Capital City Kiwanis for supporting our transportation program and helping ensure hundreds of youth can safely access the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County throughout the year. 🚌✨

Your support helps remove barriers and makes it possible for more youth in Ada County to participate in the programs, opportunities, and positive experiences waiting for them at the Club.

Our friends from Kuna Smiles stopped by the Kuna Club to teach our members about the importance of taking care of their teeth! 🦷💙

Our Club members were excited to learn, ask questions, and discover why good dental care is such an important part of staying healthy. Kuna Smiles made learning fun and interactive—and even sent each participating member home with a new toothbrush, fun pencil, and coloring packet! 🎨🪥

A huge thank you to 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 for donating your time and making healthy habits fun for our Club Kids! We’re grateful for community partners who invest in the health and well-being of our members. ❤️
