⏰ Excellent timing! The parishioners from Kuna Lutheran Church are a constant source of support for the Kuna Food Bank. They collect donations weekly and deliver them to us. This week's contribution was spot on! Operations director Tallie says, "We were blessed with lots of cereal and snacks, which are in high demand over the summer months with kids home from school!"

Thank you Kuna Lutheran Church for nourishing your neighbors week in and week out. 💚

😍 Surprise! An unexpected entry in our online donation report stood out—$500 from the Smoke on the Prairie BBQ Contest. The inaugural event, held at the end of May at Changed Life Church, featured a BBQ contest, a chili cook-off, and a car show.

Because of the tremendous support from sponsors, vendors, competitors, volunteers, and attendees, the BBQ organizers were able to donate to the Kuna Food Bank—earmarking the funds for the weekend backpack program—and send a student to summer church camp. Thank you for thinking of us! 💚

🪏 It wasn't ordinary yard work. Volunteers from Snake River Dirt Co, Crooked 8 Events, and the Kuna Food Bank board and leadership team spent Saturday morning cleaning the site for the future Kuna Food Bank building.

The group was rocking and rolling! In just a few hours, they finished most of the mowing and removed all of the concrete, which filled a dump truck." 😮

Thank you for rolling up your sleeves to help us get the lot closer to being shovel ready. And special thanks to Kuna Food Bank President Bobby Rossadillo who spearheaded the effort. 💚

The future food bank facility will be built on donated land in downtown Kuna. The permitting process and fundraising for the new building are both underway. For more information, visit https://www.kunafoodbank.org/building-project/. 🛠

⛳ A beautiful morning of golf course fun will help us move toward an ambitious goal. The proceeds of this year's Mission Critical Invitational will be donated to the Kuna Food Bank!

The Mission Critical Invitational is an annual golf tournament organized by HENSEL PHELPS. It's a gathering of construction project stakeholders, trade partners, and suppliers that raises money for a charity. For 2026, the organizers selected the Kuna Food Bank as the recipient. Hensel Phelps project manager Karen Balionis says, "The Kuna Food Bank has been one of our favorite community events we’ve done while working in Kuna, so we wanted to highlight Kuna Food Bank and all that you do for the community." 😍

The tournament proceeds will be added to the Kuna Food Bank's building fund for a standalone facility. In addition to the contribution toward our long-term goal, tournament participants also gave us an immediate boost—a carload of food donations! 🥫

The Mission Critical Invitational was held last Friday at Banbury Golf Course. Board and leadership team members Bonnie Heinrich, Bobby Rossadillo, Melodi Kallmeyer, and Brenda Blitman were there to visit with participants and share the message about our💯percent volunteer-powered organization.

It was an amazing morning! Thank you to Hensel Phelps, the golfers, and hole sponsors for your kindness and generosity.💚

🛒Thank you Kuna Grocery Outlet for including us in your grand opening celebration! At today's ribbon cutting, store owners Brandon and Julia Mansfield presented Troy Roberts, Kuna Food Bank Board Member and Intake Director, a $500 check.

We always appreciate monetary donations, because they make it possible for us to offer fresh foods to our clients and fill in gaps when pantry staples run out. We're also looking forward to a long-lasting relationship with Grocery Outlet as a food rescue partner. Congratulations and thank you for helping us continue our mission of neighbors helping neighbors.💚

👉 What's better than a hole-in-one? Answer: Being named the beneficiary of a charity golf tournament. The construction firm HENSEL PHELPS is donating the proceeds from its upcoming Mission Critical Invitational to the Kuna Food Bank. 🤩

⛳ Receiving golf tournament proceeds is new territory for us, so we're pretty excited. We're especially grateful for being the tournament beneficiary, because the funds will help us move closer to the goal of building a standalone food bank in downtown Kuna.

💚 Hensel Phelps is a dedicated Kuna Food Bank supporter. The firm holds food drives and, once a month, employees (and family members) handle a shift of filling clients' orders and stocking shelves.

🏌🏻‍♀️The Mission Critical Invitational is an annual event that benefits a nonprofit selected by the organizers. It's scheduled for Friday, May 29 at Banbury Golf Course in Eagle. Kuna Food Bank volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and cheer on the golfers. 😃
