Sadly there were two pups, litter mates, surrendered to the pound today. This is the 2nd time this person has surrendered pups to the Tulia pound in less than 2 years😡 The only reason given for these two being surrendered to the kill shelter with only 13 days left to live, is that they can jump the fence.
This little girl is Terra. Terra is still a puppy at 10-12 months old and she weighs 36 . She was put outside in the yard and has no training at all. She is very sweet but skittish. Most likely these pups have had little human connection. These are heeler mixes, which are working dogs, and they need a job, human interaction, and stimulation of some kind. They are bored AND unaltered. These two facts alone strongly encourage the urge to escape! But, they are young, very smart, and highly trainable dogs.
Since entering the Tulia, Tx pound, Terra has been started on parvo/distemper vaccinations, she has been dewormed, and had flea/tick meds.
If you would like to meet this beautiful young lady, please call the Tulia Police Department at 806-995-3555.
Please share Terra's post as you never know which share could put her post in front of her furever person🙏🏼
