The Northface Development project, located at the former Palmerton Zinc West Plant at the entrance to Palmerton from Route 248, is the site of tons of toxic landfill. Northface Development has a permit allowing it to profit from dumping construction waste and debris from New Jersey and New York. The landfill is considered highly toxic in those states, but is allowed in Pennsylvania as “regulated fill.” The Northface Development permit expires in 2027. If we want to stop toxic dumping in the West End, we need to tell the PA Department of Environmental Protection exactly what we think - please send in your petition today!

Sewage sludge isn't just waste — it's a source of PFAS/PFOS contamination that can make its way from fields into the Delaware River and our drinking water. Learn how land-applied biosolids threaten local farms and public health in this new blog post: https://wix.to/h7O6uzI

Read, share, and join the conversation to protect our water and food supply.

Last week, the Delaware Riverkeeper Network (DRN) hosted a webinar on "Biosolids and Sewage Sludge: The impacts of its application on farms in Pennsylvania.” Now, why would the DRN care about Sewage Sludge? Our forests are more than trees — they are ecosystems, wildlife habitat, and carbon sinks. The Mora Solar proposal would clear 390 acres of pristine forest for a solar farm. We support renewable energy, but not at the cost of irreplaceable forests. Read why this matters and how you can help: https://wix.to/0Fc3IsJ

Solar power offers alternative energy that is becoming more popular. Installing solar panels where they can add the most value like on rooftops and in parking lots make good sense. Clear cutting 390 acres of pristine forest to install a solar farm does not make any sense. Once a forest is gone, it's...
