⚠️ Protect Your Horses from EHM! ⚠️
Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy (EHM) is a serious neurologic disease caused by Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1). It can lead to fever, nasal discharge, weakness, and even paralysis.
✅ Watch for clinical signs like fever over 102°F, lack of coordination, and head tilt.
✅ Prevent spread by avoiding nose-to-nose contact, disinfecting equipment, and washing hands thoroughly.
✅ Report suspected cases to the Texas Animal Health Commission within 24 hours.
