This could be your colony enjoying their stash after stopping in at Eden's Way and purchasing our famous nip toys. They are inexpensive and help us spay and neuter more cats.

“Can I’s go home now?” 😻Sophe was spayed and vaccinated through Kokomo Community Cats TNR Program today and she is absolutely adorable! Never seen a cat jam there nose in a hole and look out the holes like that.

⚠️ Warning! Graphic‼️ Did you see our post this morning? That’s right, we sent 42 cats over to 4 Precious in Lafayette for spays and neuters vaccines and flea meds! It was an exhausting weekend but worth every bit of it!

Two of our new feline friends (so far) are needing extra special care. One male, named Dawg has a abscess/wound on his face and is going to need the wound clipped and cleaned and very likely antibiotics on top of his neuter, vaccines, flea meds, and pain meds.

A female cat named Debbie has an erupted eye and is going to need it removed. Not the best photo but she’s having a bad day and doesn’t understand. She has been living in pain for some time and without the eye removal, she will continue to be miserable. The owner cannot pay so of course we said yes to helping this girl and are going to fundraise to cover the cost as well as the cost of her spay, vaccines, flea meds and pain meds. Of course we said yes to the extra care and eliminating her suffering. Debbie is currently getting the best care and we are going to make it work either way, however we have a tight budget and we hope you might be able to help us offset the cost of her services?

Without KCC, both these cats along with forty others would have continued to be in pain, continue to fight, roam, reproduce and be unhealthy. It’s been our honor to help over 6,200 cats live happier healthier lives and to help their humans too, who were doing their best with what resources they had. This morning KCC sent 42 cats over to 4 Precious Paws Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic for spays and neuters!!! 🙌🏻

But first I want to apologize to everyone who showed up this morning and had to wait. I pride myself on being early, organized and having drop off go as smoothly as possible but unfortunately everything that could go wrong for me, did. I started off getting behind loading our 24 cats into the van. Took longer than expected and had to deal with some diarrhea blow outs. Also, my printer decided to be possessed and would NOT print off my completed list or consent forms so that also put me behind. I ended up about 5 minutes late to the drop off and of course I didn’t have my printed reference sheet so I kept having to swap between checking my phone list and checking messenger on the business and private page.

Additionally I had a small colony under a different last name and one set of two that were somehow not on my list. Add in my old foggy brain working on just under 3 hours of sleep after a very taxing weekend trapping and confusion happened. We made it work and the van was still headed back by 6:30am.

On the positive side, we did send 42 cats to be spayed and neutered and everyone that was supposed to show up, did. We put a pretty big dent in two large colonies and finished another one off. We also had some very nice people at the drop off that helped us unload our cats from our van into the clinics van. A big thank you to those who helped me out! 😻 Plus the 4PP clinic is not going to ban us from using them for not having papers on hand and helping me fix the clinic list and accepting 42 cats when I had 30-35 appointments.

🚍 The transport is slatted to return between 5 and 5:30. If that changes we will post that information here and try and get everyone messaged about the delay.

Thanks again for your patience and grace with me this morning. I promise your cats are in great hands. I’m sure this evening will go a lot smoother. Thank you to the KCC volunteers who worked hard to secure all our cats! 🐱

We have a BIG day of spay and neuter on Monday! Thanks to some recent and very generous donations this transport was made possible!

So far we have 19 of 30 cats trapped and volunteers are still out trapping. The slightly cloudy cooler day is certainly helping. One of our colonies of 18 cats started off with one cat unfixed being put in the barn and now they have a large colony. They have also had several kittens die over the years, disappear and some adopted out so you can imagine how many cats have been produced at one location all because the original cat wasn’t fixed. We can’t wait to see how many we end up with and we can’t wait to save some lives!

Educate your family, friends, and neighbors about the importance of spaying and neutering all cats including pets, barn cats, alley cats strays, & ferals.

Fixing and vaccinating unowned community cats through the process of trap/neuter/return (TNR) ends the suffering these cats can face and puts a stop to the endless number of kittens born outside who unfortunately suffer the most.

If you see a healthy looking eartipped cat, please leave it where it’s at. Eartipped cats have been fixed and vaccinated and have a caretaker providing food and warm shelter.

Our shelters and rescues need to focus their time, space, resources, and adoptable homes on cats who aren’t eartipped. Sending already fixed and healthy cats to the shelter just takes away homes from those who really need the help.

We had an amazing surprise dropped in our mailbox. Two of our very generous supporters dropped a large donation in our box which means we will have the funding for another transport and were able to secure one on the 31st!!! Whoohooo!! Thank you to the pawsome ladies who have continuously believed in our mission and supported our small program. We can’t thank you enough!! ❤️
