Thanks to the collaborative effort of local organizations and churches, hot meals will be available to Howard County Students at NO CHARGE at these locations every Wednesday from June 4, 2025, to July 23, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. while supplies last.

Students will also be able to collect a bag with various food items to take home. Students must be present to receive a meal and a bag. If any hot meals remain after 12:45 p.m., adults may receive a meal for a suggested $5.00 donation.

Trick or Treat Safety Ideas from our friends at Professional Firefighters Local 396 in Kokomo.

It’s that spooky time of year again & the Professional Firefighters of Kokomo Local 396 wants to ensure you have only treats & no TRICKS 🎃.

Here are a few safety tips to help you have a fun & safe Halloween:

👀LOOK BOTH WAYS before crossing the street and always use sidewalks and well-lit areas.

🎃CARRY a glow stick or flashlight🔦 and consider wearing reflective costumes to increase visibility.

🦇DRIVE cautiously and watch out for extra foot traffic.

🧛🏼ENSURE an adult is with children while they trick-or-treat.

👻STOP only at well-lit houses🏡

🚫✋🏼NEVER enter a strangers home.

🔎INSPECT🧐 all treats before eating—-AVOID anything unwrapped or suspicious.

Back to school supplies with Solidarity

🎉Who needs school supplies???

Join us at Kokomo Municipal Stadium on Tuesday, July 23rd, from 4 PM to 7 PM for the Howard County Department of Child Services back-to-school event. Free school supplies are available while supplies last!

This event is open to ALL residents of Howard County and is not income-based, the child must be present.
