This is a view of the boat ramp this morning. What an impressive sight with 70 trucks and trailers! There are millions and millions of dollars in boats, trailers and pick up trucks. I’ve never posted this in past years due to security concerns however, this is the last year for the fishing clinic so it feels appropriate. Seventy captains and seventy first mates bring all of their very valuable equipment, trucks, trailers and boats to take a kid fishing and give kids an experience of a lifetime. Every year at some point during the tournament, I drive over to the boat ramp and look at all of the millions of dollars of equipment that these wonderful boat captains are willing to put at risk in the name of serving our kids and I’m in awe of the community spirit demonstrated on tournament day. Thank you for 40 years of service, boat captains and first mates. You are appreciated.
