The Community Foundation serving Howard, Clinton & Carroll counties is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of local citizens. It provides a way for people of all means to make a lasting difference in their community. Great nonprofits need great leaders!

Strong leadership helps nonprofits grow, adapt, and make a lasting difference in the communities they serve.

Applications are now open for our 2027 Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Series!

This FREE, six-session workshop series gives nonprofit staff and board members in Howard, Clinton and Carroll counties an opportunity to strengthen their skills, gain fresh perspectives, and connect with others who share a passion for making a difference.

From board governance and strategic planning to fundraising, marketing, and grants, participants will learn from award-winning trainers and take away practical tools they can put to work in their organizations.

💚 FREE ($580 value per person)

This Fund Friday, we’re featuring the Alan, Jenni, John & Spencer Dunn Community Fund, established to support Carroll County while inspiring a legacy of giving within the Dunn family.

For Alan and Jenni, creating an unrestricted fund was about more than supporting worthy projects. It was also an opportunity to show their sons the importance of philanthropy and giving back.

Through this fund, their generosity can continue making a difference as Carroll County’s needs and opportunities change over time.
