Inventrek Technology Park is a community-based, high-tech business incubator. It has a Certified Technology Park designation from the state of Indiana.

As a business incubator, Inventrek provides emerging companies with space, resources, and to help them grow their businesses without breaking the bank. This includes access to professional, affordable office space with amenities such as phone, internet, mail services, and conference meeting space included. Since 2004, Inventrek Technology Park has provided start-up and high-growth companies with the tools, resources, and physical needs required to grow their businesses to the next level. This 98,000-square foot facility on Kokomo's south side was developed through partnerships with both Purdue University and Indiana University's Innovate Indiana program to incubate growing technology companies until they are ready to operate on their own.

We have a winner!

Congratulations to Whitnie Mitchell, owner of Olive Tree Boutique, for taking home the $10,000 grand prize at The Drive!

Whitnie earned the top prize with her plans to expand the boutique's custom quilted bag line, bring custom embroidery services in-house and grow her wholesale business.

A big congratulations also goes to fellow finalists Adrean Lamberg of Brix & Co. Candles and Claire Cooper of The Elevated Hippie. All three entrepreneurs brought great ideas and big plans for the future of their businesses to the stage.

Each finalist will present their business and growth plans to a panel of judges.

The Elevated Hippie started in Kokomo with a focus on community, creativity and supporting local artistry.

Now, the business is looking toward its next phase, The Elevated Hippie Collective.

The plan is to create a collaborative retail and wholesale model that gives local makers support with branding, marketing, retail placement and distribution.

At The Drive, The Elevated Hippie will pitch plans to expand private-label products, strengthen wholesale distribution and build systems for continued growth.

Whitnie Mitchell founded Olive Tree Boutique in 2022 after recognizing a need for modest, fashionable clothing designed to help women feel confident and comfortable in every season of life.

Today, Olive Tree Boutique operates a downtown Kokomo storefront and online shop, offering hand-picked clothing and accessories.

For The Drive, Mitchell is looking toward the next stage of growth. Her plans include adding custom embroidery and permanent jewelry services, creating new revenue streams and building opportunities for future wholesale growth.

On Oct. 15, she will pitch those plans to a panel of judges as she competes for the $10,000 Drive grand prize.

Adrean Lamberg turned a personal interest in the ingredients used in everyday products into Brix & Co. Candles, a handcrafted candle brand focused on clean living, self-care and cozy spaces.

As a returning Drive finalist, Lamberg is looking toward the next stage of growth. Her goal is to purchase and build out a mobile boutique trailer that will allow her to take Brix & Co. Candles to markets and events year-round while providing a climate-controlled space to safely transport and sell her products.

On Oct. 15, she will pitch her plans to a panel of judges and compete for the $10,000 Drive grand prize.
