Did you know the first man on the moon was a Scout?

Before Neil Armstrong took “one small step for man,” he was a Scout earning his Eagle rank and learning skills that would shape his future.

As an astronaut, Armstrong needed:

Confidence under pressure
Problem-solving skills
Leadership
Preparedness
Teamwork

These are the same things kids learn in Scouting today.

From leading teams outdoors to learning how to make smart decisions in tough situations, Scouting helps youth build the foundation to pursue their dreams whether that’s space exploration or simply becoming a capable, confident, successful adult.

Neil Armstrong didn’t land on the moon by accident.
He got there through focus and dedication - and Scouting was an important part of that journey.

What big dream would you love to see your child pursue someday?
