We’re hard at work preparing for the holiday season — and it’s already feeling magical! 🎅🎁

Our Elf Parties are right around the corner, with a Stocking Stuffer Party happening this week. We’ve even started shopping for some of the villages! 🛍️✨

It’s such a joy to continue this wonderful program that began all those years ago. Being part of something so meaningful reminds us just how special this community is. ❤️

We’re also thrilled to welcome Nicole & Bekkah, who are shadowing us to become the next Santa to the Villages chair holders. 🎅🤶

They generously donated wardrobe boxes to help us safely pack and transport gifts for our Santa to the Villages program — keeping the presents secure as they make their journey on the helo ride! 🚁🎅

Jane Clark Memorial Scholarship
The Jane Clark Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Jane Clark, co-founder of the annual Santa to the Villages project. This scholarship is intended to provide individuals from Kodiak Island’s native villages with an opportunity to pursue their educational goals at the college or trade school of their choice. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Spouses’ Association will award:

One scholarship worth $1,500 will be awarded to a deserving senior student.

All of the presents have been delivered, and each village has received their gifts. The Spouses' Association of Kodiak is so proud to continue the tradition of Santa to the Villages.

This incredible journey began nearly 50 years ago in 1974, when Coast Guard pilot Lt. Cmdr. Jim Stiles recognized that children in these remote villages had limited opportunities to interact with Santa and receive gifts, and played a pivotal role in starting it all.

In 1976, Coast Guard spouse Jane Clark, along with her husband Capt. Charles Clark, took on the task of coordinating the project after they were stationed in Kodiak.

Here are a few pictures from the Cypress visit to Old Harbor for Santa’s journey to the villages. We are so thankful they were able to make this happen for us this year!

We are incredibly grateful to the CGC Cypress and its amazing crew for making this year's holiday season extra special by delivering gifts to Old Harbor for Santa to the villages.

This marks the first time a WLB (Seagoing Buoy Tender) has been able to support the STV mission since 2016, and we are so fortunate to have had their help in making this happen! ❤️

The crew went above and beyond, meeting with villagers at the school where Santa handed out gifts and took photos with the children. They then invited everyone aboard for tours and fun holiday activities, creating unforgettable memories for the kids and families.

This event was a huge success, and we are so proud to have been a part of it. Thank you, CGC Cypress, for making the holidays brighter for these remote communities!

Santa took a “sleigh” ride out to Chiniak today.

We had a great time passing out gifts, hanging out with the kids/families&enjoyed a potluck with the
village❤️

Thankful for our crew of elves who came out to make this possible. 🎅🏼🎄

We have 2 more villages left to be delivered! Hard to believe this has been 50 years in the making. We are lucky to be apart of it.

We would like so say a BIG THANK YOU to our local Safeway for donating fresh fruit(apples and oranges) to Santa to the villages. This is the best part for the kids 😍
