Kodiak BHA Armed Forces Initiative

Military Membership drive started this week. Some of the giveaways are on a PER installation basis, so with our small community here on Kodiak that means you've got a pretty good shot at some of the prizes!

Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is the voice for our wild public lands, waters and wildlife.

We had about 10 show up this morning with dogs and kids in tow to clean up Pillar Creek. We packed out almost 500lbs of trash, old furniture, broken glass and an exploded washing machine. Keep an eye out for our next event later this summer!

We have tshirts! I have about 30 sized M to XL for $25 a piece. All proceeds directly benefit and our missions. We'll have them available for purchase on Saturday at the cleanup day.

Hike to Hunt 2022 starts on Wednesday!

The BHA Hike to Hunt Challenge is a fundraising competition dedicated to motivating hunters and anglers to get outside, get in shape, build awareness of the issues facing our wild public lands and waters, and raise funds for BHA's work. More than $20,000 in prizes from BHA corporate partners will be up for grabs in 2022…if you care about public lands and waters, fish and wildlife, and physical fitness, you can’t afford not to participate!

Mark your calendar: Meet and greet for our first meeting! If you have a current membership please attend so we can hold elections for club positions and get some service projects planned for the Spring/Summer. We're also looking for volunteers to mentor incoming members and help set up a table at the Welcome Aboard fair.

Meeting will be held in the P. Cod or Halibut classroom at NPRFTC (3rd floor of the commissary building.)
