Home repair resources are available for veteran homeowners in Knox County.

Knoxville Habitat’s Critical Home Repair program partners with eligible Knox County households with someone age 60 or older to address critical roof or HVAC needs. These homeowners can also be veterans.

Veteran homeowners and active-duty service members may also qualify for veteran-focused repair loan resources, depending on eligibility.

More homes on the market should mean more opportunity for the people who live here. But when most new listings are priced beyond what local incomes can support, that opportunity becomes harder to reach.

For many neighbors in Knox County, this means the path to homeownership is narrower, and staying rooted in the community they call home can feel more uncertain.

That is why affordable homeownership opportunities matter. Knoxville Habitat partners with future homeowners, volunteers, donors and community advocates to help more neighbors build the life they choose, right here in our area.

Together, we build homes, communities and hope.

As we look back at moments from past brunches, we’re reminded what makes this event so meaningful, a room filled with neighbors, friends, sponsors and community partners coming together around a shared purpose.

On May 16, we gather again at The Mill & Mine to celebrate the impact we build together through Women Build and to help expand affordable homeownership opportunities in Knoxville.

A few tickets are still available, and they can be purchased through May 11. We would love for you to be part of this year’s brunch.

Together, Women Build.

Stronger communities start at home.

At Knoxville Habitat, affordable homeownership is built through partnership.

Families in our homeownership program prepare for homeownership, participate in the process, and purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. Along the way, volunteers, donors, and community partners help create the support system that makes this work possible.

The impact does not stop at the front door. Affordable homeownership helps families put down roots, build stability, and strengthen the communities we all share.

Building stronger communities does not happen all at once. It happens through small, everyday actions that help more people understand why affordable homeownership opportunities matter in Knoxville.

When people stay informed, show up at community events, invite conversations, and share what they learn, they help build momentum for lasting change. That kind of engagement strengthens neighborhoods, grows connection, and opens more doors for families in our community.

There are many ways to be part of that work, and every one of them matters.

Take the next step with Knoxville Habitat today by exploring ways to get involved on our website at www.knoxvillehabitat.org
