The Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair (SASEF) Awards Ceremony was held on April 1, 2025, and welcomed nearly 300 students, families, and educators in celebration of an outstanding year of scientific exploration and achievement.

Congratulations to all of our Special Award winners, Honorable Mentions, Certificate of Excellence recipients, and Overall Winners! The level of innovation and research presented this year was truly impressive. We want wish Bethanie Bryant (Grand Champion Senior Project) and Levi Dunn (Reserve Champion Senior Project) the best of luck as they represent our region at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair held in Columbus, OH in 2 weeks!

We are incredibly proud of all participants and are already making exciting plans for SASEF 2026—we can’t wait to see what next year brings!

The 74th Annual Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair was held on March 25, 2025. Over 100 projects were exhibited by outstanding students around East Tennessee!

Beyond that, we want to extend a generous thank you to our fantastic judges who volunteered their time and knowledge on fair day!
