Our Story

Mission:

Provision CARES Foundation is a public charity whose mission is to provide health and wellness education, support research initiatives, and provide patient assistance for cancer patients and their families in East Tennessee.

The three primary focus areas include:

Health and Wellness Education: Initiatives and innovative wellness programs that promote healing, healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and awareness.

Patient Assistance: Support for cancer patients undergoing treatment to help alleviate financial burdens while undergoing cancer treatment.

The Caring Plate: Support for nutritionally vulnerable cancer patients with healthy meals while undergoing treatment.

The Caring Plate:

In August 2014, Provision CARES Foundation, along with Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Coalition (CAC), developed and implemented the Caring Plate. The Caring Plate provides healthy, nutritious meals to children, women, and men who are undergoing cancer treatment, and threatened with proper nutrition.

To date, the Caring Plate program has provided over 60,040 meals, 15,694 supplements, and 11,390 gallons of milk & juice to children, women, and men who are undergoing cancer treatment, and threatened with proper nutrition intake.

Patient Assistance

The Patient Assistance Program provides financial support to cancer patients who are impacted by the rigors of their treatment and need financial assistance to maintain their quality of life. The program underwrites expenses such as housing, transportation, food and gas cards, assistance with utility bills, and other ancillary expenses.
