McNabb Center Providing Mental Health Care, Substance Use Treatment, Social Services and Victim Services for East Tennessee.

The McNabb Center is the region’s leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, social and victim services. By focusing on an individual’s “Well Mind, Well Being,” we provide a quality and compassionate approach to care from infancy through adulthood. Since 1948, the Center has proudly served individuals with the most needs and fewest resources. Today, the McNabb Center delivers support to more than 30,000 people throughout East Tennessee each year.

💜 Today is International Overdose Awareness Day.

The McNabb Center is committed to providing support for individuals at every stage of recovery. Resources include Centerpointe detoxification and residential substance use treatment, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and peer support services.

Our staff also joined community partners in raising awareness and sharing resources at Overdose Awareness Day events in Jefferson City hosted by Rescue 180 and in Knoxville with Metro Drug Coalition.

Together, we can reduce stigma, connect people to support and bring hope to individuals and families in our communities.

If you or someone you know needs help, call 800-255-9711 or visit mcnabbcenter.org

Last Friday, the McNabb Center celebrated the ribbon cutting of our newly renovated Peer Support Center and Jail to Work program in Chattanooga! 💚

The new spaces will support adults through peer connection, recovery, re-entry support and opportunities to build a new beginning.

We are grateful to the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for providing grant funding that made both programs possible and to everyone who joined us to celebrate this investment in the Greater Chattanooga community!

Today, the McNabb Center celebrated the ribbon cutting of our Peer Support Center and Jail to Work program in Chattanooga.

The newly renovated, trauma-informed facility will provide dedicated spaces for each program.

Peer Support Center
This free, peer-led program supports adults with a mental health diagnosis through mentoring, socialization, education, volunteerism and individualized wellness recovery plans. The new space includes a kitchen, laundry, shower and shared therapeutic areas.

Jail to Work
This marks the McNabb Center’s fourth Jail to Work program and the first in Hamilton County. The program provides justice-involved men with opportunities for recovery, re-entry support and life skills training as they work toward a new beginning.

We are grateful to the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for providing grant funding that made both programs possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate this exciting investment in recovery, connection and hope for the Greater Chattanooga community! 💚

Grief can look like sadness, anger, numbness, exhaustion, confusion or simply not feeling like yourself. There is no one right way to grieve, and it does not happen on a set timeline. Grief can look different for each person.

If you are grieving, give yourself some compassion, stay connected to people you trust and focus on taking care of yourself one day at a time.

If someone you care about is grieving, you do not have to fix it. Be present, listen, check in and continue showing up. Sometimes support is simply letting someone know they do not have to go through it alone.

Allow yourself to feel what comes up without judging your emotions.

Find healthy ways to express your grief, such as talking with someone, writing, creating art or spending time in meaningful places.

School supplies like backpacks, lunch boxes, notebooks, crayons and markers are great stocking stuffers to add to our toy drive for our Dear Santa kids! And they’re all on clearance now! We are accepting new gifts for the McNabb kiddos in need from now until the North Pole closes in December. So throw some extra items in your cart, and send them our way to help make the holidays brighter for your tiniest neighbors.

Our Sevier County team had a great time connecting with the community at Cookout with the Cops.

Our team was on hand to share helpful resources, build connections and let community members know that support is available when they need it.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and said hello!
