Carnicus Recap 🙌

We had a blast at Tennessee’s Got Talent this year—every group showed up and brought their absolute best! Huge congratulations to all of our winning groups, our ACE Cup winner, and our amazing Carnicus Chair, 👏

Some of you might be new here… so here's what you've been missing if you've never been to Carncius!

Carnicus is one of UT’s longest-running traditions that dates back all the way back to 1929. Every year, student orgs take the stage with original comedy skits and compete against each other for the win. But it’s not just about Carnicus… groups are also competing for the ACE Cup 🏆, which is awarded to the org with the strongest overall performance across both All-Sing and Carnicus.

We hope to see you on Friday! Expect everything from Dolly Parton appearances to Tennessee-inspired twists on classic songs, along with plenty of inside jokes for anyone familiar with Cumberland Avenue.

This year introduces a brand new award: Fan Favorite!

Every ticket purchased in support of an organization counts as one point toward their Fan Favorite score. Audience members can also donate cash before or during the event on April 17 to support their favorite group, with each dollar equaling one point. Not only will the winning group earn major bragging rights, but they will also receive 5 additional points toward their overall Carnicus score, giving them a stronger chance of becoming Carnicus champions. Show your support for these incredible Carnicus groups by purchasing tickets and cheering them on!

Tickets will be sold on Ped Walkway this week, and any remaining tickets will be available for purchase on April 17 before the show. We hope to see you there ⭐️

Catch us on Ped Walkway (right outside the Student Union) to grab yours! Can't get one during the week? No worries! Any remaining tickets will be available on Friday, April 17, at 5:15 PM in the Student Union

We are so excited for this year's Carnicus, "Tennessee's Got Talent"! Get your organization involved by clicking the registration link in our bio before it closes on April 2nd! We'll start selling tickets on April 9th, so keep an eye out for the dates and locations when we post them! We're so excited to see everyone there!

Why ACE?

"Coming into college, I had no clue what I wanted to major in. I knew that I wanted to get involved on campus, meet people, and hopefully somewhere along the way, find my passion. I can truly say that ACE helped me find all of that and more. I have found such a love for event planning through getting involved in ACE, and can’t imagine a more perfect career for myself. But event planning isn’t the only reason for my “why ACE”; the people here are what make the place. I have made so many connections and friends with people that I never would’ve met without ACE. While ACE did help me find what I want to do with my life, my ACE besties are forever my “Why ACE.”
