Our Story
The Smoky Mountain Astronomical Society (SMAS) is an Astronomical League-affiliated club for astronomy enthusiasts in the East Tennessee area. SMAS provides monthly meetings at Pellissippi State Technical Community College in Knoxville, and star parties. The club has several telescopes available for members. This is a good help for persons new to the hobby so that you can experience different specialties of the hobby before you invest in your own equipment.
