"Back to School" used to look a little differently at St. Mary's School for Girls in Knoxville. We were recently sent these photos from the Clermont Historical Society in Florida! They ended up states away, but we're sure glad they made it back home - especially the fabulous interior photos! These are all circa 1890's and available to be seen in person at the Knox County Historical Museum - Open every Sunday now through October from 2 to 4pm (or by appointment, if you have a group you'd like to bring in please reach out and set up a time to take a tour with one of our volunteers!)

Stop in from 2 to 4pm today! The Knox County Historical Museum open Every Sunday now through October, from 2 to 4pm (except Labor Day weekend) or by appointment. You can stroll through our beautiful, air-conditioned museum on the square in Knoxville. We're always adding to our extensive collection of artifacts and relics from Knoxville and Knox County's rich history, so be sure to stop in, even if you've visited before! Entry is a free-will donation, so bring the whole family. Can't wait to see you l!

Too hot to do much today...but it's perfectly cool inside the Knox County Historical Museum!

Stop by from 2 to 4pm on the Square in Knoxville today (and every Sunday through the Scenic Drive in October). Browse our impressive selection of Knox County relics and memorabilia, including the carriage Lincoln rode from Knoxville to Galesburg in to debate Stephen Douglas at Knox College in October of 1858.

It's just one of the many interesting things waiting to be discovered!

The Knox County Historical Museum is officially open for the season!! 😍 Every Sunday now through October, from 2 to 4pm, (unless otherwise noted) or by appointment you can stroll through our beautiful, air-conditioned, museum on the square in Knoxville. We're always adding to our extensive collection of artifacts and relics from Knoxville and Knox County's rich history, so be sure to stop in, even if you've visited before! During Yardsale Days in Knoxville, don't forget to shop The Bargain Corner, tucked right inside the front door of Mannhardt's Furniture, on the Square in downtown Knoxville! Stop in for antiques, collectibles, old books (GREAT FOR DECORATING!!) vinyl records, dvds, puzzles, games, costumes, glassware and lots more!! Something for EVERYONE!
