In July we can contemplate on Step Seven “Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings”. To digest this, it can be helpful to reflect on an excerpt from Courage to Change….
Humility does not mean begging for mercy. Real humility, I discovered, is the ability to see my true relationship to God and to my fellow human beings.
The steps allow an opportunity to accept flaws in absence of humiliation and to attain stronger relationships to ourselves, our higher power and others.
