Republican Sen. Josh Hawley wants the DOJ to launch a criminal investigation into a pro-choice website, calling it a "dark money operation"

This is part of a much broader attack on pro-choice speech, framed as "protecting women" from abortion pills.

Earlier this year, Senate Republicans asked the FDA to shut down websites and work to *seize their domains*

And just last month, Alabama's attorney general sent cease-and-desist letters to multiple websites—including Plan C, the site Hawley is going after now.

In his letters, AG Steve Marshall threatens prosecution and accuses the groups of "exploit[ing] Alabamians for profit."

Meanwhile, South Dakota just passed a law that bans the advertising of abortion pills—with language so broad that even information about the medication would be illegal.

Which, of course, is the point.

That's what makes this letter from Hawley so telling: Plan C doesn't actually sell abortion pills, it provides *information* about where patients can get the medication.

He's not going after an abortion pill provider, he's going after an information hub. This is about quashing speech and community

TN Republicans are pushing a bill (HB 754) that would collect & publish data on people receiving gender-affirming care on a public database. That’s not “policy.” That’s targeting. Trans people deserve privacy, safety, & dignity; not to be tracked.
