The District of Maryland has added these shields to their repertoire with a full color logo with black front and a subdued version with a OD Green front.

Awaiting the production numbers for both.

Once again, it is very noticeable that the GMan Emblem Manufacturing is slightly better for actual usefulness as a functional opener that won’t fail after just a six-pack or two.

I have been told that now this Shield
opener design is the most made (and copied) opener/challenge coin design in the U.S. Marshal Service ever. 30,000 plus units with different logos/districts/FTFs and growing.

This Shield Coin coming from the Southern District of California has to be the most vivid and colorful designs we have seen this year.

Even the shiny silver badge contrasted by the shiny gold banner really sets this one apart from some of my other favorites.

Production numbers to follow later.

GMan Emblem LLC has continued setting the standard for this legacy design well into the future with this one.

The final shield to be designed and funded by the original designer. 150 standard and 50 in Lady Vol blue. The new logo was designed by the same designer on behalf of the new Chief Deputy Marshal for E/TN. Logo was first used for personal coin for Chief Deputy utilizing the first and only officially licensed coin by Dolly Parton in DOJ history in earlyy 2025.

These were released in Mid 2025.

The Atlantic Region of the Witness Security Division has produced their newest two versions that are extremely difficult to acquire. Both versions are of a small limited run and are numbered on the lower edge. Production numbers are to be released soon. I will update when known.

The latest version was recently done by the Basic Deputy United States Marshals Class to celebrate their completion of their Marshals Service and FLETC Criminal Investigator Training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia. 460 were manufactured for them in mid 2024 by Gman Emblem LLC.

Here is the picture that launched thousands (Over 30K so far) of Shield Challenge Coins. February 26, 2019, taken in the parking garage below our Federal Courthouse after only 1 month of use (They were brand new to all the USMS) and sent to Gman Emblem LLC with the idea and the "Must be in ratio with the actual and must have the same curve". The rest is history and all others not made by Gman Emblem LLC are the best compliment but still fakes. LOL!

The Central District of California produced this rendition of the Shield Challenge Coin with Gman Emblem LLC.

206 were produced and make it one of the more difficult to acquire due to the large size of that district and being on the far West Coast.
