Over a decade. Dozens of volunteers. Hundreds of nights and weekends given freely. All so children with disabilities across East Tennessee can play. That's the Knox Makers story. These incredible makers show up every year with tools, talent, and tremendous hearts. They adapt toys that companies never designed for accessibility. They create joy where barriers existed. And they do it asking for nothing in return. That's not right—they deserve recognition, celebration, and our deepest gratitude. Knox Makers: you are the driving force behind nearly every adapted toy we've ever delivered. You are heroes, and Spark wouldn't exist without you. Thank you. 🙏

Some partnerships define an organization. For Spark, that partnership is Knox Makers. Since the early days of Toy Tech, their volunteers have shown up—not once, not twice, but year after year after year. Dozens of makers. Hundreds of volunteer hours. All to make sure kids who can't use standard toys can still experience the wonder of play. They adapt switches, modify electronics, and pour their hearts into work that often goes unnoticed. But we notice. We see you, Knox Makers. You are the reason Toy Tech exists. You are the reason families have hope. You are heroes in every sense of the word, and it's long past time we said thank you—properly and publicly.

Behind every adapted toy at Toy Tech, there's a Knox Makers volunteer who stayed late, worked through problems, and refused to give up until it was perfect. For over a decade, they've been our unsung heroes—dozens of dedicated makers spending their precious free time ensuring children with disabilities aren't left on the sidelines. They solder circuits while the rest of us sleep. They test switches until their fingers ache. They do it because they believe every child deserves to play. Knox Makers, you've been the engine driving almost every Toy Tech since the beginning. It's time everyone knew: you are extraordinary, and we are forever grateful.

Let's talk about real community heroes. For more than ten years, the volunteers at Knox Makers have been the backbone of our Toy Tech program. They've given hundreds—maybe thousands—of hours modifying toys for children who would otherwise be left out of play. They work late into the night. They troubleshoot. They care deeply. And they do it all with little fanfare. That needs to change. Knox Makers: you've made magic happen for families across East Tennessee, and Spark wouldn't be here without you. Thank you for every single hour, every single toy, every single child you've helped.

For over a decade, Knox Makers has been the beating heart of Toy Tech. Year after year, dozens of their volunteers give up their evenings and weekends—spending countless hours soldering, adapting, and problem-solving—so children with disabilities can experience the pure joy of play. They show up, they work tirelessly, and they rarely ask for recognition. But today we're saying it loud: Knox Makers, you are absolute heroes. Every adapted toy, every child's smile, every moment of independence—it starts with you. Thank you for being the driving force behind nearly every Toy Tech event Spark has ever held. 💙
