Craig Tippens grew up in Inskip, TN a small community in Knoxville, TN. He had many adventures in his life time and if you knew him you know his life was well lived. His life took him to many places, places like Alaska and Germany just to name a few. He has three children his oldest daughter Patricia Compton, middle child Jacob Tippens, and youngest daughter Jenny Blair. Three grand children, olde
st granddaughters Azia and Kela Compton and youngest grandson Bryson Blair! Craig lived for his kids and grand kids! He was a lover of the lake and Harley Davidson Motorcycles and where ever that motorcycle would take him, he would go!! Craigs battle began in 2008 when he learned he had lung cancer and they did surgery to remove part of his lung. The next obstacle he faced was in April 2009 he was told it had came back and chemo was the best option. He beat his cancer in August of 2009! He celebrated with his friends and family and took a well deserved motor cycle trip with his nephew to the Florida Keys. Craig took his new found spare time and lived life and was so happy to be able to return back to his delivery business; which he started in the early 90's. He was able to see his daughter graduate from high school, take a trip on his Harley with a very dear friend to the Grand Canon. Then in August of 2011 he was told it had came back and it came back strong. However Craigs strong will to live his life to the fullest wasn't going to let that keep him down. He continued to go on bike rides, visit his kids and grand kids, go fishing, watch his beloved Tennessee Vols football and basketball. He had the chance to walk his youngest daughter down the isle, see his first grandson born, watch his son graduate college, and take his two grand daughters on a few more fishing trips! He cherished his last Christmas with his kids. Craig was a lover of the holiday season and being with his family! He loved holiday music! March 1st, 2013 Craig Anthony Tippens rode his 2009 Harley road king into the golden gates of Heaven, to join his parents, one of his older brothers and many more family and friends!
