At our recent Rotary Club of Bearden luncheon longtime UT sports information legend Bud Ford introduced former UT Quarterback and U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler to talk about the moments and people that shaped his life.

From watching his grandmother quietly give her last dollars at church, to unexpected phone calls from the White House challenging him to give back, Heath’s journey reflects the true heart of our motto: Service Above Self.

Our Bearden Rotarians had a wonderful Saturday serving at the FISH Hospitality Pantries. Alongside our club members and their spouses, we had three fantastic Interact students lending a hand.

Together, the team helped serve over 200 families coming through the line! From greeting guests with a warm smile and setting up food displays to helping folks select their groceries and repacking bulk items, it was an incredible morning of community support.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to make a difference in our Knoxville community!

We had a great time at Bearden Rotary this past Friday hosting Lori Styer, CEO of River Media!

Lori shared incredible insights into television production and her work producing hit shows for HGTV. As always, our speaker signed a book to be donated to Pond Gap Elementary to help inspire young readers. 📚✨

The Rotary Club of Bearden was honored to host Peter Jones last Friday!

Peter shared incredible insights into his work studying online extremism, as well as captivating stories from his time living in Beirut during the early 1980s. It was a fascinating, eye-opening discussion, and we are so grateful to Peter for taking the time to speak with our club! 🌍✨

The Rotary Club of Bearden is helping fund a new playground tailored for Pond Gap’s youngest pre-K learners. Alongside the new play area, we are honored to plan a Rotary Peace Pole for the campus. To celebrate the incredible diversity of the Pond Gap community, the Peace Pole will feature every language spoken by their students, including American Sign Language!
