Hard to believe our last Saturday approaches, 5/2/26.

Since we already had a pizza party we might try to get some ice cream or something for a little treat when we conclude.

We may or may not have our photographer back but either way I'd like to try to take another group photo since not everyone was available last week.

Keep an eye on the cool front coming in and dress appropriately.

Rugby Pizza Party on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

We’re excited to host our Rugby Pizza Party this Saturday, April 25.

Following the conclusion of Rookie Rugby, there will be Knoxville Youth Rugby middle school and high school games at the rugby park. To help support these athletes, many of whom started in flag rugby, I’ve decided to move our end-of-season pizza party to this weekend. We’d love for families to stick around and cheer them on.

We’ll have cheese and pepperoni pizzas delivered to the field around 11:15 AM. Please feel free to bring chairs, as we may be asked to move to one of the upper fields. Otherwise, our Rookie Rugby session will run as scheduled (10a - 11:30).

Announcement for Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Hello Rookie Rugby Families,

I have received notification that the Men's and Women's rugby True South Championship games will be happening at Tennessee Rugby Park this Saturday and Sunday.

There is no change to location or time for our Rookie Rugby but we will be moving to one of the upper fields where there are no bleachers; so please remember to bring your own chairs.

Feel free to stick around and watch some great rugby from clubs across the SouthEast!

I have new shirt order in and will be handing them out tomorrow, please be sure you are registered with KYR and USA rugby.

Rookie Rugby Spring 2026 starts in a couple weeks!

I hope everyone's spring break is off to a great start, sending out a reminder to please register your athletes if you haven't done so. Our first Tuesday is just a couple weeks away on Tuesday, March 24!

Rookie Rugby is non-contact flag rugby for kids Kindergarten through 6th grade

Happy 2026 Rugby Families!

Plans are in motion for the Spring 2026 Season for Rookie Rugby. I am in need of parents/volunteers to help with assistant coaching duties to help keep drills moving and athletes on-task. I have group leaders for Kindergarten, 1-2nd grade and 3-4-5-6th grade so no "rugby experience" needed for volunteers; please reach out to me if you can help!
