My name is Dwayne Craigo and being the Chief Executive Officer for the Tennessee Veterans Chamber of Commerce is very rewarding as I work to identify veteran-owned businesses in and around Knoxville Tennessee. It is difficult at best to identify a veteran-owned company, I have reached out to local chambers and requested a list of companies which are veteran-owned and have been told that a company
being owned by a veteran is not an identifier. As veterans, we have many great services and products to offer consumers, and having a source for people to reach out to, who may prefer dealing with a business which is being ran by a veteran, is invaluable to consumers and business owners alike. Personally, I would like to optimize my purchasing power and do business with another veteran. I need your help, which would be appreciated, to identify veteran-owned businesses, so I can reach out to them. We as veterans can have a bigger voice in the economic impact our businesses could provide to our communities. I would also like to hear from veterans who are looking for employment. We are in the process of creating a job board, and looking for companies which are hiring and looking for quality people to fill these open positions. If you are a veteran-owned business or a business owner which have positions for employment currently opened, please advise us and we will get the position in front of candidates. I am excited and driven to work with others to make veteran-owned businesses more visible and vital throughout our communities and strengthen our job board to assist those veterans seeking employment opportunities.
