Hello Neighbors,

Halloween is almost here, and we want all the kids to have a great time. We suggest allowing a 6:00PM-8:00PM Trick or Treating time on Thursday, October 31st, along with limited vehicle traffic during that time. If you are participating with handing out treats, please turn on your outdoor/porch lights. If electing not to participate, please turn off your outside lights.

LCUB CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN

Hello neighbors,

Here's an update on the LCUB project:

1. All underground utility lines have been marked and construction has already begun at the Rocky Slope cul-de-sac.

2. Utility line paint markings are done with a water based paint, so it will wash off in the rain or with a pressure washer.

In case you were interested, here is the color chart for the utility line markings that have been spray painted on our roads and yards.

Dear Homeowners,

We received this message from LCUB today regarding the upcoming power grid and high-speed internet modernization construction project in our neighborhood. If you need marker flags, locations to pick them up are shown below. We have no way of knowing for sure, however, a good assumption is that all yards on the side of the street with pad mounted electrical transformers will be affected.

This construction could extend for several weeks with a lot of construction traffic in and out of the neighborhood.

Please be mindful of keeping your vehicles off the street unless absolutely necessary and within Knox County law and our neighborhood parking rules.

Good evening neighbors. We have been asked to inform you of the following:

KCSO (Knox County Sherriff's Office) reports multiple recent organized (a group) car burglaries in the West patrol sector—almost exclusively open vehicles. One neighborhood hit had 12 cars entered (that were noticed/reported) with 2 having smashed windows. Valuables are believed to be visible in vehicles with broken windows. Multiple fi****ms were taken.

Prolific porch pirates, 2000 4-door gold/tan Honda Accord with Ohio plates. 1 Hispanic male and 1 black male. They have worn yellow reflective vests in at least 2 incidents. MO is to follow FedEx/UPS, carry a large shopping bag to the door, and place the packages in the shopping bag. If you see a FedEx/Ups being trailed/followed by a gold 4-door accord, call KCSO non-emergency 215-2444.

Please lock your cars and keep valuables out of sight.

This event is absolutely free and is happening this Saturday from 10am-3pm at the World's Fair Park! The Friends of the Knox County Public Library will also have a tent full of children and teen books for purchase. Most books are either $.50 or $1. Rain or shine, we will be there!

The 18th annual Children's Festival of Reading is right around the corner! We hope to see you for a book-ish day in World's Fair Park celebrating children's books.
