Recycled Best Friends, Dog Rescue RBF is small foster based rescue. Knoxville TN. Rarely we may accept smaller owner surrenders of space, but tough times lately.

Our primary focus is helping partner shelters in need with smaller dogs, moms, litters, orphan pups, medical needs.

Sweet J’Nee is living every dog’s bucket list. Katherine already has the rotisserie chicken ready and plans for our hospice gal.

We will be posting soon for her next week of visits stating with Monday evening. She is doing well, loves the attention and the chicken on her breath drives her house siblings JJ and JAX crazy. Lol

WHAT’S IN A NAME? 🐾

This handsome gentleman is making his way to us in just a few days, and before he arrives, he needs a name!

We believe he may be the father of Momma Moxie’s four pups, so we’re trying to keep the theme and his distinguished good looks in mind. Just look at that face—he’s clearly got some stories to tell.

He is heartworm positive and will be treated in the coming weeks. We would love to have a foster lined up for this hoarding case survivor.

We’re not crying… 😭 of happiness.

One of our wonderful recent addition volunteer families that come Thursday morning to socialize and photograph. Stopped by to not only take J’NEE on an outing but young Wyatt had saved his allowance for something that meant something to him. He presented us with a $70 donation to help dogs like J’NEE.

To know we are making an impact on the younger generations and that parents are sharing the good and the gritty in rescue life is so awe inspiring.

Thank you so much Wyatt. Your donation and faith means the world to us. Your visits are definitely a bright spot in the day for the dogs and us.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED.

Love animals? Wanna help but are time/schedule limited? Looking for a set time and place to volunteer an hour or two? We have a few morning openings and more pm openings and can put your time to good use. Typical times 8:30-10 am or 5/6 pm.

Volunteer Susen might kill me about the pictures but we wanted to give a big shout out to our only evening volunteer. We have some amazing morning volunteers but appreciate the pm volunteer that can help do feedings, walks, kennel spot clean, socialize and more.

We train you and work together most visits but sometimes we need more coverage. Rescue is 24/7 and pretty exhausting.
