Our board member, Jon Michael Mollish, puts it well. Whether you’re a lifelong member of the community or a newcomer, we need to take care of our Little River. We drink from the river, play in it, and live on its banks. Let’s take care of it, like it takes care of us.

All change starts small.

Participating in local elections is crucial now more than ever to ensure your voices are heard and our communities reflect the will of those who live here.

Keep in mind the issues we are facing in East TN when selecting your candidates!

Topics to consider that affect the Little River Watershed:

πŸ‘‰Population growth and infrastructure planning, is it sustainable and forward thinking?
πŸ‘‰Zoning and construction requirements
πŸ‘‰Resources management such as power and water (remember over 140,000 residents in the area drink straight from the Little River)
πŸ‘‰Social programs
πŸ‘‰Public school requirements

The counties in Little River Watershed have some big local elections coming up this spring.

Early voting for all counties will be held April 15th-30th and official election day is Tuesday, May 5th.

IMPORTANT: You must be registered to vote in the State of Tennessee by April 6th, 2026 in order to vote in our upcoming local elections! This means you have 1 month to register if you are not already.

Visit the link in our bio to learn more about what positions are up for election in Blount, Knox, and Sevier County. You can also find voter resources for each of these counties, and information on registering to vote in the State of Tennessee.

🫑We’ll see you at the polls!

Last year, a total of 518 volunteers cleaned up 34 sites, removing an estimated 34,402 pounds (17.2 tons) of trash from the Tennessee River, creeks, streams, and shorelines. Let's get even more this year 🚯
