We have a young man who wants to earn a little pocket money by shoveling driveways. His name is Jake, he is 16 and very polite according to one neighbor that took advantage of his service today. She paid him $30 and has an average size driveway for our neighborhood. Jake may be reached at 865-370-3100 (we share this with his permission). Please post on the Highgate page. We recently took down our 12 yr old swing set built with pressure treated lumber from Lowe's. Does anyone want any of the wood for a project? It's inside our fence at the moment but we can move it out for anyone interested in picking it up.

I have a basketball goal that a neighbor gifted my son. It needs a new net and needs weighted better, I never added more sand and the storm the other night knocked it over. I’d rather pass it on to another neighbor if someone could use it. It seems I can’t post, but if ok, would you mind advertising? My son is 22 and probably won’t be here often enough to justify keeping it.

Is anyone missing a cat?

There’s a black/tan/gray tortie looking cat that was under our house in the crawl space. We’re at 10326 Highgate. Can you guys post something on the page to see if anyone in the neighborhood is missing one? I’m going to get a trap from a rescue group to see if we can get it scanned for a microchip.

I'll get the ball rolling with a recommended contractor.

I needed outlets wired and installed in my kitchen island. I contacted Caleb Dennis. He owns Handyman of Knoxville. He was on time for the quote (6:00 pm on a weeknight), gave me a quote on the spot and got to work. I wasn't expecting him to be able to do that at 6:00 pm, and two hours later the work was completed. Outlets have been installed for over a week now, and no issues.
