POV: It can be hard to see how much you’re growing when you’re right in the middle of it.

God can use the classes that challenge you, the people who walk alongside you, the questions you’re still working through, and the ordinary days when you simply choose to keep showing up. Not every step will feel significant, but each one can shape who you’re becoming.

There is purpose in the process.

The best professors leave you with more than what you learned in class.

We’re grateful for the Johnson faculty who know their students by name, make time for conversations outside the classroom, ask thoughtful questions, and care deeply about the people their students are becoming.

Tell us about a Johnson professor who has made a difference in your life.

🙌🏼🙌🏽

Last week, 50 Johnson University students and professors traveled to Indianapolis for the Spire Conference!

Our students learned from ministry leaders, heard powerful messages, built meaningful relationships, and had space to reflect on their own calling and future in ministry.

We’re grateful for opportunities like Spire that challenge and encourage our students as they grow into the leaders God is calling them to be and remind them that they’re part of something much bigger than themselves.

It was a great few days of learning, connecting, and dreaming about what God might do next!

Sunday Reflection | October 4, 2026

As we begin Christian Higher Education Month, we celebrate the opportunity to help students grow in knowledge, deepen their faith, and prepare to serve.

In 2003, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing October as Christian Higher Education Month. This observance highlights the contributions of Christ-centered education in preparing future teachers, business leaders, healthcare professionals, pastors, missionaries, entrepreneurs, and more.

At Johnson University, faith shapes how we learn, how we lead, and how we care for one another. In classrooms, chapel, and everyday conversations, we encourage students to discover their gifts and consider how they can use them to honor God and serve others.

This Sunday, we’re praying for our students, faculty, and staff—and for Christian colleges and universities seeking to faithfully carry out this work.

May we continue to grow in wisdom and put our faith into practice wherever God leads us.

Where Faith Shapes Purpose.
