Students from Columbia State will travel to Iceland as part of their Biology Research and Marketing courses.

Experiences like study abroad do more than expand academic knowledge by helping students develop a deeper appreciation for perspectives beyond their own. 🌏 Global Respect Pledge Spotlight: Jackson State Australia Partnership Program 🇦🇺

We’re excited to send students from Jackson State to Australia as part of a capstone course in manufacturing! During this capstone course, students will explore global production methods, learn manufacturing techniques, and see firsthand how industries around the world are incorporating sustainability into everyday operations. 🌿 🏭

Beyond the technical experience, their pledges highlight their desires to build global awareness — learning to appreciate and respect different cultures, perspectives, and customs while engaging with industry on an international level.

Experiences like this bring classroom learning to life and help students prepare for the future of manufacturing.

🌏 Global Respect Pledge Spotlight: Chattanooga State Japan Partnership Program 🇯🇵

Students from Chattanooga State will be traveling to Japan as part of their Allied Health and Honors Colloquium programs.

These students will get to experience how Japan blends deeply rooted cultural practices with current technology. From observing innovation in Tokyo to experiencing traditions that have shaped communities for generations, this journey will equip them with a global perspective that will distinguish them in their future careers.

As they learn and explore, we hope their time abroad is filled with meaningful moments. Join us as we highlight their pledges in which they embrace this opportunity to honor culture, build connections, and broaden their knowledge in their field of study.

Take learning outside the classroom 🌿

Maria Sass .k.sass recently studied abroad in the Cayman Islands — working alongside scientists to explore diverse ecosystems and gaining real-world experience in conservation and biological research. From collecting samples to observing wildlife it their natural habitats, she gained practical skills that will prepare her for a successful career in the science field 🧪

IMPORTANT: You may see incredible photos from our students’ experiences in the Cayman Islands, including baby sea turtles. These moments happened under the direct supervision and guidance of scientists from the Cayman Islands Department of Environment as part of a conservation project.

We want to remind everyone: never touch, dig up, or disturb wildlife—even for a photo. Our students’ work supports conservation efforts, and respecting these guidelines helps protect vulnerable species for future generations to come 💚
