HIS Mission (Helping International Students/Scholars)

HIS Mission (Helping International Students/Scholars) HIS Mission is an Ambassador of peace and good will, reaching out to international students/scholars and helping them in their needs. Ms. But, Ms.

HIS Mission (Helping International Students/Scholars) was founded in 1993, five years after its President, Ms. Donya Brown, operated and supported the business on her own as a volunteer. After five years her Pastor and others who had been in professional Ministry for many years urged her to incorporate. In a few months she agreed and found an Attorney who incorporated the Ministry for her and he d

id this at no expense to her. Following this step she found a CPA who filed her tax exemption, also at no charge to her. She wasn't looking for free services but she was encouraged by what she had found and took it as a sign to continue working as she had been doing all along. Brown wanted a name for the organization that would reflect the name of God, knowing that He was the One responsible for her success. So, when she needed to decide on a name for the business she chose, HIS Mission and included the name for the acronym HIS, Helping International Students/Scholars in parentheses. It wasn’t long before the students and scholars were passing the name around by word of mouth and they came from abroad looking for HIS Mission. However, the fundraising wasn't so easy. Brown recognized that God's way of keeping her reliant upon Him and she relied upon Him all the more and on prayer and continues to help the students and scholar in their many needs. She corresponds with many of them even after they have graduated and either moved on to jobs, new universities, or returned abroad. She is proud to say that there have also been numerous students and scholars who have accepted her beliefs mainly after hearing Ms. Brown giving credit to her one true God that has led her in her sensitivity to them and their needs and their success. They continue to look for her and to believe as she does because the help she gives them leads them to such success.

Happy International Women's Day

I didn't tell you a few things in the last post. Didn't want concern you too much. But when I had the wreck I also punctured lung and two bleeds to the brain. And, a few weeks before the heart attack I had a stroke. Pretty wild to think how I did all that and I'm still alive to tell about it.I sad and disappointed to say that I had very few people call on me. Most of them were internationals; then, my landlady, and my best friend Elaine. Well, I hope I have more prayers than visits. It's been a hard year for me and I still have no transportation. A good matter for prayers.

I have been up to first surviving: A serious wreck where in I broke nine ribs and my girlfriend broke both wrists. Then, in a couple weeks later a went into pneumonia, had a mild heart attack and a failed kidney. After several weeks in the hospital I am now into my second week at NHC Rehab in Fort Sanders. I ask for your prayers and calls or visits would be an encouragement. Thanks,
Donya
