I would like to take this opportunity to invite the members of the Tennessee Society Sons of the Revolution
To join us in Greeneville on September 9 as we mark the graves of 4 Patriots and honor a real daughter at the
Old Harmony Cemetery at 10AM. That afternoon there will be tours of the DAR House, Dickson-Williams Mansion,
Andrew Johnson Sites, the Museum and the car museum.
That evening we will host the District 1 SAR dinner at the General Morgan Inn. Everyone is welcome to attend. See

Saturday morning we will travel to Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton for The Gathering. This is a national SAR event
Founded in 2007 by TNSSR members Ronnie Lail and Tim Massey. We will have color guard, a wreath laying and speech by Congresswoman
Diana Harshbarger. We would be delighted to have everyone that would like to be a part to attend.
The deadline is approaching for Dinner Reservations to be made for the District Dinner on Friday, Sept. 9
at 6pm at the Gen. Morgan Inn in Greeneville. Happy Hour will be 5 - 6pm...
This dinner/meeting will be the TNSSAR District 1 meeting and all members/guests are invited to attend.
August 26 is the deadline for making reservations.
Compatriot Tim Massey, District 1 Director, will be the host and moderator.
Dr. Warren Docktor, President/CEO of the East Tennessee Historical Society will be the speaker.
Compatriot Tom Vaughan, of the Watauga Chapter will give a special presentation.
The dinner will be a buffet furnished by Brumley's in the General Morgan Inn and the cost is $35/person.
