Brooks' Books We created this organization in memory of our infant son, Brooks Henderson Beeler. Brooks remained on ECMO until February 4th when he passed away.

Brooks’s Books seeks to comfort families and children being
placed on ECMO or grieving the loss of a loved one through providing books to hospitals,
grief camps, school counselors, and school social workers. Brooks was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) on December 19, 2022. He had a successful Norwood surgery on December 23rd but contracted an infection on January 5th and was placed on ECMO. As Brooks' moms we would read to him each night that he was on ECMO. This brought a feeling of normalcy and comfort to us and we hope these books will do the same for others.
